VITAMIN:-B1


      Vitamin B1 is a water soluble vitamin as are all vitamins of the B-Complex . They help to converts carbohydrates, fats,protein into energy or glucose.
     Vitamin B1are necessary for keeping the liver,skin,hair,eyes healthy. They also play a role in the nervous system.
       
     The vitamin B are sometimes are called the Anti-stress vitamin, because they boost the body immune system in times of stress. 
       

***Deficiency:- There are two distinct major deficiency diseases beri-beri & Wernicke-Korsakoff
Syndrome. They do not usually occur together.
       1) Beri- beri is now rare in the countries where it was japan, Indonesia, Malaysia. 
       2) Wernicke-Korsakoff diseases is usually seen in people who have been drinking alcohal heavily for some weeks & eaten very little.
